I hope you don't take offense to criticism, but an artist always needs one, or how else would you improve?

Let's see, I would suggest that his hips should be narrower since he's a dude. & His shoulders should be broader. His top body part should align a bit more with his bottom part..

Other than that, this is very cute character design. ^^ I love his black wings.

You're right ;D My issue with this pic was posing him cause he's kinda turning and shiz. I tried to find a reference so it would be better but no, no good references for me -__-

OOh, I'm so fucking happy that you like critism!!! Not many artists do and make an ass out of themselves when somebody gives an honest critique. So fucking annoying. It usually starts out with "Well, I like it that way!!" or "If you don't like it, stop being mean!" GUH STOP THIS MADNESS. Ya know? What are they looking for? Ego-stroking?

Yeah, finding references in just the right position you want to draw it in is HARD. I wish I had a camera so that my friends/family can pose for me so I can draw from there. Hopefully I get a camera for my birthday..

I know right! I don't do criticism much(cause I'm not that good yet XD) Once someone criticized one of my pics and said I should look at pic of theirs to see how to do it and it wasn't great D=< It only annoys me when the person themselves is no better or worse than me and they think it's a total piece of shit. Still I can appreciate it at the same time because while they might not be great at art(like yourself) they can still see what's wrong with the pic, after all you want people to like it and the critique helps you draw better pics

Oooh, I took on some of your advice and edited what I could(like his hips). Still some more to do though. I wouldn't mind if you could tell me about the colouring of this pic when it's finished- PLEASE! I FAIL at colouring pictures -__-'

I usually think of references in my head I generally only look at actual references for hands
